The third volume of K-Tel's
Back to the '60s series is based on inferior re-recordings of hits that were released primarily during the first half of the decade. As with the other volumes in the series, it's a cheap way to obtain a lot of music, but you're going to get what you pay for. Some of the selections on this disc include
the Angels' "My Boyfriend's Back,"
the Drifters' "Up on the Roof,"
Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans' "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah,"
Dee Dee Sharp's "Do the Bird,"
the Ad Libs' "The Boy from New York City,"
the Crystals' "He's a Rebel," and Don & Juan's "What's Your Name?" There is only one original version on this disc. ~ Andy Kellman
