The star of the Indian film industry, known as Bollywood, has been rising in the West, and along with it, the music used in the films, a mix'n'match assortment of Eastern and Western styles. It's music with its own idiosyncratic charm. However, this has precious little to do with Bollywood music, unless you count Indian singers.
Don Shiva, the mastermind behind this, has produced what is essentially an album of downbeat electronica with a lounge-y vibe and touches of India, be they ever so brief. If it's Bollywood you want, better to spend your money on one of the real compilations out there. ~ Chris Nickson
