In 2021, Maverick City Music released Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition, a collection of songs released in acknowledgment of the Juneteenth holiday. It was a star-studded affair, featuring a stacked roster of guests including Ciara, Lecrae, Rapsody, Tamar Braxton, and many more. On the Breathe EP, the collective offers up new takes on Jubilee tracks like "Joy of the Lord" and "Mighty One," as well as worship favorites like "Heal Our Land" (featuring Joe L Barnes, Maryanne J. George, and the Mav City Gospel Choir) and "I Will Exalt You" (featuring Ahjah Walls and the Mav City Gospel Choir), the latter of which gets the "spontaneous" treatment.
