Atlanta, Georgia's Awful Records crew are known for their warped, left-field take on hip-hop, trap, and R&B. Slug Christ, however, stands out as the most twisted artist on their roster, with his previous output defining him as a tripped-out darkwave/rap innovator. His debut full-length album is a culmination of his previous work, covering themes such as suicide, hard drug abuse, and pseudo-religious contemplation, which he has described as "an ode to a forgotten self-sacrifice." Throughout the record, the "based-goth" is accompanied by numerous Awful members, including Father, Richposlim, and Stalin Majesty. ~ Liam Martin
