Like the debut album by DJ Dara, another New York City junglist,
Don't Believe sounds years out of date compared to similar drum'n'bass work being done in Britain. Disposable breakbeats and simplistic, house-inflected synth lines do little to divert a listener's attention over the course of many overlong tracks. "The Law" is a wondrously executed downbeat excursion, but almost every other track drags on long after it should have ended. ~ John Bush
