Jamaica's almighty rhythm section returns with yet another album of experimental dub. Tracks range from the ambient "Dub Fire" to the rock steady sounds on "Ganga Lee." Intertwined with the drum and bass are familiar reggae horn arrangements. The occasional lyrical quote pops up, perhaps most vividly on "Slacker Dub," which contains a few lines from C.S. Dodd and
Leroy Sibbles' tune "I Love You." A solid album but like most dub, it has a tendency to sound alike to all but the most stringent listeners. Still
Sly & Robbie fans will appreciate the effort. ~ Curtis Zimmermann
