By the release of Fancy Free in 1981,
the Oak Ridge Boys were on a roll. They not only had another number one hit on the country charts with "Elvira," but the single gained so much airplay that it crossed over onto the pop charts as well, becoming a signature song for the band, and the biggest hit of their career. The remainder of the album includes similarly enjoyable material, including another hit "I'm Settin' Fancy Free," and the obligatory gospel tune "I Would Crawl All the Way (To the River)." ~ Al Campbell
