On the sequel to his 2018 debut, Atlanta-bred rapper Lil Gotit continued his upward rise with his third album, Hood Baby 2. Boasting guests such as Future ("Yeah Yeah"), Lil Yachty ("Toe Tag"), Gunna ("Drip Day N Night"), and frequent collaborator Lil Keed, the LP featured standard big-bass trap anthems centered on Gotit's delivery, a blend of slurred bars and melodic vocalizations. Upon release, the set became Gotit's first appearance on the Billboard 200, barely squeaking onto the chart in the final slot.
