The previous Don Huonot album, Verta, Pornoa & Propagandaa, signaled big changes in the band's music, and since the album was surprisingly successful, Don Huonot was facing enormous pressures for the follow-up. The group certainly fulfilled those expectations, but in a way perhaps too well: The whole album seems to be too commercial. However, when one considers the experimentation of Verta, Pornoa & Propagandaa, it seems that Don Huonot took even bigger steps in its overall sound and playing on Kaksoisolento, despite the commercial expectations. Also, Ahola's lyrics moved further toward a serious and mature approach. Kaksoisolento represents another phase for Don Huonot, as the group moved toward a higher goal than before. Yes, this album is often blamed for being too commercial -- but then again, who could say that an album is bad merely because it has some overplayed radio hits?
