Produced by Jeff Dawson (
Daniel Powter),
Life, Love & Lies is the breakthrough album from Vancouver five-piece
State of Shock. Influenced by early-noughties post-grunge bands
Nickelback and
Puddle of Mudd, the 2007 follow-up to
Guilty by Association includes the singles "Money Honey," "Hearts That Bleed," "Best I Ever Had," "Too Pretty," and "Different Day." The album was released in the U.S. a year later with a new track, "When Did the Love Leave," and a re-recording of their previous album's closing track, "Rollin'." ~ Jon O'Brien
