Peggy Seeger's musical pedigree is immaculate, of course, but it's sometimes forgotten how vital and engaging a performer she is. This live disc, recorded in 2010, certainly helps remedy that, as she delivers a wonderful and varied set ranging from traditional British ballads to
Dock Boggs' "Country Blues" and her own material, all punctuated with a series of anecdotes and stories, some wistful, some hilarious, all of which testify to her consummate performing skills; she's completely at home in front of an audience. She's an excellent musician and singer, one who's grown and learned to make the most of her voice. In a time when youth is constantly celebrated, she's a reminder that there can be no substitute for experience and life. ~ Chris Nickson
