Born in San Diego,
Roberto Tapia, the son of parents who had relocated from Sinaloa, Mexico, has built quite a career out of mixing Latin rhythms with contemporary touches of hip-hop and electronica, and this set, led by the lead single and title track "Mi Niña," found him topping the Mexican music charts right out of the box.
Tapia wrote or co-wrote all ten of the songs included on the album. ~ Steve Leggett
