Paquito Guzmán continues to follow his peerless abilities in the romantic mold in yet another excellent album. The album went by pretty much unheralded (like some of
Fania's attempt to cash in on the ballad trend), but this does not diminish the great musical quality that boosts this production. The title tune, Hector Urdaneta's classic "Negrito," "Lirio Blanco," "Ciegamente," "Vida," "No Me Volverás a Ver," and "Cosas de la Vida" are both heartfelt and colorful.
Paquito Guzmán's discography is quite extensive, and manages to cover many of the tropical areas. Thanks to albums like this, there is no question of the singer's admirable versatility. Produced by Frank Ferrer. ~ José A. Estévez, Jr.
