From the cover photo of the two as childhood friends to the whimsical collection of folk tunes within, the disc is a charming testament to their friendship. Songs like "Kitty Alone" and "Chickens They're A-Crowin'" are accessible for parents and children alike, although Dave Von Ronk's wasted voice may scare the little ones from the room on "Froggy Went A-Courtin'." ~ Tim Sheridan
