Approaching the 20th anniversary of his debut album, 1998's Look What You Did to Me, veteran Houston rapper Z-Ro delivered
No Love Boulevard, what he promised to be his final solo album. (Full-length collaborations with Mike D and Beanz N Kornbread remained on deck.) This is a no-frills, hard-hitting, and heartfelt effort, true to typical Z-Ro form. The rapper likewise handles the hooks as well, with only one cut involving featured vocals (courtesy of Ronnie Spencer and Ronetta Spencer). On the final track, he hints that he'll come out of retirement (just to retire again) and remain in demand after death.
