This album does not have the same magic that the group's debut release generated; it's lacking those harmonious background vocals, grand arrangements, and dynamic lead vocals. Several numbers try to rekindle that aura. "This Is My Dream" has an inviting arrangement, as does "You and I" (Billboard R&B number 57), which also touches on the sentimental side. "What a Feeling" is reminiscent of
Con Funk Shun's uptempo grooves. Nonetheless, it is a superb party track, and "Love Over and Over Again" comes closest to that
Switch sound, complements of lead singer Bobby DeBarge. With his naturally high tenor, DeBarge (older brother of
El DeBarge) carried the song to number nine on the Billboard R&B charts. ~ Craig Lytle
