Tigerman, the first solo effort from the Fabulous Thunderbirds' frontman,
Kim Wilson, is an uneven album, hampered by the uncertainness of
Wilson and his band. They run through a standard set of blues-rock, plus Texas- and Chicago-style shuffles and boogies, but they never really let loose. Consequently, there are pleasant, enjoyable spots on the album, but never anything truly memorable. ~ Thom Owens
