Mutant Funk,
Praga Khan's
Twentyfirstcenturyskin was a crudely produced combination of modern hard house and sexually inflated acid philosophy. The synths were fat and silly; the psychedelic loops and the muted, filtered vocals recalled Goa trance acts like Olli Wisdom's
Space Tribe. Ultimately, "What's Wrong With Me" was almost trip-hop in comparison, but the album frequently lacked intent, a little too precious with its softening textures and dated ideals. ~ Dean Carlson
