ECM's long history of putting out sophisticated and challenging jazz of the first order is rivaled only by the careers and abilities of the musicians who record on the label. Violinist Mark Feldman is one such musician, and his distinguished resume includes everything from straight jazz to country to avant-garde chamber music. WHAT EXIT, released on ECM in 2006, features Feldman in a quartet setting, accompanied by a striking rhythm section featuring pianist John Taylor.
