As with Tyrone Wells' previous five studio albums,
Where We Meet is rooted in intimate and heartfelt songs. Listeners familiar only with the singer/songwriter's two major-label albums might be a little surprised by this set's relatively stripped-down approach. Acoustic guitar dominates the majority of the songs; there are fewer atmospheric, studio-created touches, allowing the ears to focus on Wells' relatable, inviting lyrics, though strings add dramatic flair to the ballads "Satellite" and "You Still Love Me."
