All Young in the Soul opens with a burst of driving '60s rock with gliding guitar structures from somewhere between shoegazing and '60s psychedelia. The album keeps closer to the first influence than some of the Photon Band's other releases, but its low-fi spaciness lends it a definite affinity with Elephant Six bands like
Olivia Tremor Control and their black-lit
Beatles-isms.
