Spanish quartet
Tierra Santa play heavy metal with all the reverence expected from a band whose name translates to "Holy Land." With obvious influences such as
Iron Maiden and
Black Sabbath, the group serves up hard-driving, melodramatic rock with lots of energy.
Apocalipsis provides the obligatory soaring guitar solos and pounding basslines, but little else. The personality and style that set similar bands like Colombia's
Los Aterciopelados apart from the pack are sorely missing here. ~ Rosalind Cummings-Yeates
