The mini-skirted go-go dancers pictured on the cover reveal the year of release, a considerable distance from
Haley's classic period, and it is amazing that Decca didn't have a hits compilation out earlier. The songs speak for themselves, and loudly, however -- apart from "Rock Around the Clock" and "Shake Rattle and Roll," the highlights include "Thirteen Women," a delightfully surreal end-of-the-world rockabilly fantasy about a man on a post-nuclear world who finds himself the only male to service 13 fertile female survivors. ~ Bruce Eder
