One of the first and best of
Boyd's many overseas recordings, cut while he was in the midst of that auspicious 1965 American Folk Blues Festival tour of Europe. While the caravan was ensconced in London, young producer
Mike Vernon spirited
Boyd and a rhythm section (guitarist
Buddy Guy, bassist
Jimmie Lee Robinson, and drummer
Fred Below) off to the studio, where
Boyd ran through some of his classics ("I'm Comin' Home," "24 Hours," the title track) and a few less familiar items while alternating between piano and organ.
