A soaring, often astonishing singer while in the cast of Dreamgirls,
Holliday never came close to sustained success simply because each album was an uneven, frustrating conglomeration of overproduced tracks and inferior tunes. The one strong number on this album, "Heart On The Line," was a masterpiece, even though it didn't make it beyond the mid-levels on the R&B chart. Her enormous potential remains unfufilled, at least on album. ~ Ron Wynn
