After his first album,
Da Komm' Ich Her, put Austrian singer
Andreas Gabalier on the map in 2009 (the record eventually peaked at number four in the Austrian album charts), the former law student from Styria delivered a follow-up only 12 months later.
Herzwerk features uptempo songs such as the hit single "I Sing a Lied für Di" (which was covered by
DJ Ötzi in 2011), but also several ballads, and it adds some rock and schlager elements to
Gabalier's down-to-earth folksy music. The album reached the number one spot 64 weeks after entering the Austrian charts. ~ Christian Genzel
