After a three-year build-up of singles and the EP
Miscreant EP, Los Angeles rapper/singer
Sueco makes his full-length debut with 2022's
It Was Fun While It Lasted. Continuing to evolve outward from his irreverent trap roots, the album covers a wide mish-mash of genres with emo, grunge, rap, and pop-punk making up its tortured, molten core. A handful of guests including
Travis Barker and
Arizona Zervas are featured, though as always it's
Sueco's production and multi-instrumentalism that made have him the viral star that he is. Themes of anxiety, relationships, and various forms of self-destruction are prevalent, with the heavy lead single "Paralyzed" acting as the album's tent pole. ~ Timothy Monger
