Memphis rapper BIG30 had a quick come-up, adding his slow-moving but cold-as-ice flow and shockingly ruthless lyrical barbs to notable tracks from Gucci Mane and Pooh Shiesty. His debut mixtape, King of Killbranch, puts his unfazeable style in the spotlight, with track after track of intense depictions of street scuffles, navigating the strange path of success, and dominating the opposition at every turn. BIG30's drawling flows and blunt lyrics continue a long lineage of Memphis rap toughness, and he stands alone on about half of the tracks that make up the project. The other half features an impressive list of guest contributors, and standout moments include Lil Durk's comparatively frenetic counterpoint to BIG30's metered delivery on "Miss My Glock 26," and an elastic autotuned verse from Future on "Whatever Come with It." Close affiliate Pooh Shiesty shows up as well, as do Offset, Moneybagg Yo, Quavo, and others.
