Psychocandy,
the Jesus and Mary Chain's 1985 debut album, turned 30 in 2015. In acknowledgment of the anniversary, the Reid brothers reconvened for a series of gigs that entailed the performance of the thrilling album in its entirety. The first gig took place at Glasgow's Barrowlands, documented with this package, which indeed contains a version of each song from
Psychocandy, as well as select highlights from other points in the band's history, such as debut "Upside Down" (the 1984 debut A-side), "Reverence," and "Head On." The initial, deluxe edition of
Live at Barrowlands consists of a compact disc, a 10" EP, a 12" LP, and a 40-page hardcover book.
