Metropolitan Freestyle Extravaganza continues to roll through poor-to-decent club singles, released by the New Jersey-based Metropolitan label, that attempt to keep the spirit of freestyle alive. There are only ten songs here, so the disc is on the skimpy side, and it will only appeal to those with a voracious appetite for freestyle. Again, only a handful of the songs can truly be considered freestyle, since the producers were beginning to rely more and more upon contemporary R&B and rap (and even adult contemporary at its sappiest) for their sounds. Featured inclusions: Krissy Intonation's "Feel My Love," Michael Christopher's "I Dedicate My Love," Vilma Gil's "For the First Time," and Kenny C.'s "I Can Understand It." ~ Andy Kellman
