Perfect Moment album suggest a holiday, festive motif. No doubt lovers of tasty smooth jazz were celebrating this release.
White doesn't aim for his music to be the aural equivalent of wallpaper; he threads fluid guitar lines of intelligent, wistful improvisation. The guitarist's not afraid to share the spotlight, letting a saucy sax solo season "Midnight in Manhattan." Other standouts are the sunny "San Diego," "Kinda Sweet," a gentle reading of the
Luther Vandross hit "Don't Be a Fool," the urban-flavored "Windy City," the ethereal "My Prayer," and the languid title track. ~ Ed Hogan
