David Ison's
Relax is, as might be expected, an album of ambient music intended to calm the nerves and slow the heartbeat. It is similar to one of
Brian Eno's ambient LPs, consisting of one track lasting 55 minutes and 49 seconds that has slow-moving, gentle, synthesized sound for the most part, although what sounds like a nylon-stringed acoustic guitar plucks some notes here and there. The album is likely to be useful as background music or as an accompaniment to meditation; in either case, it is likely to live up to its title. ~ William Ruhlmann
