Sich Fügen Heißt Lügen is Slime's first studio album in 18 years: the German punk veterans broke up after the release of 1994's
Schweineherbst, but started playing reunion shows in 2010. Former drummer and lyricist Stephan Mahler didn't return, however, so he was replaced by drummer Alex Schwers, while new bassist Nici was also added to the lineup. The album's lyrics are based on the writings of Erich Mühsam, a German anarchist essayist who was active from the beginning of the 20th century up to his death in 1934, when he was killed by the Nazis. The album is also available as a deluxe limited edition with four bonus tracks and a Slime patch. ~ Christian Genzel
