There's brutal death metal, and then there's brutally brutal death metal.
Enevitable End's 2007 release,
Severed Inception, certainly fit in the latter category. This group of Swedes has a thing for relentless speed and aggression, as this entire album is a full-on assault from beginning to end, offering you few opportunities to gather your senses. For proof of this metallic onslaught, go ahead and sink your teeth into such cuts as the album opening title track, as well as "Embracing the Origin," "Firstborn of All Dead," and especially the album closer, "The Art of Corruption." As far as relentless extreme metal goes,
Severed Inception is undoubtedly a tough album to outdo. ~ Greg Prato
