Tiger is a solid and varied release from the more traditional end of the New Zealand rock scene --
Superette has always been more conventional than their purely pop-oriented or experimentally-minded peers, but that doesn't stop them from working their rock riffs and
Pixies structures ("Touch Me") with a decent level of competence.
Tiger is probably too slick and middle-of-the-road to deserve real notice, but it's a marginally appealing album nonetheless. ~ Nitsuh Abebe
