Like ONEPOINTFIVE, TWOPOINTFIVE is a between-albums offering from Aminé, who this time treats the studio as a kind of rumpus room to explore his whimsicality. This is a scattered and fragmentary set that at times flirts with club and hyperpop aesthetics -- as on preview track "Charmander" -- without fully embracing the forms. While it isn't as impressive as Limbo from an artistic standpoint (and clearly isn't designed as such), it's an entertaining stopgap that indicates numerous possibilities for the rapper's third proper LP.
