In 2011,
Barricada leader Enrique "El Drogas" Villarreal resuscitated his
Txarrena side project. After being dormant for 19 years,
Txarrena (a group only in name; this is Villarreal doing his thing) quickly released a second studio album, Azulejo Frío, and the live Con Nocturnidad y Alevosía. The resurrection is now complete with the deluxe reissue of the project's long out of print 1992 debut. The package consist of two CDs and a book: the first disc contains the original album plus a previously unreleased outtake; the second, titled Libros Prestados, includes 12 new songs, a collection of acoustic demos recorded by Villarreal at his home studio; and the book, El Ojo de la Aguja, features 14 texts penned by Villarreal. ~ Mariano Prunes
