The second
Breach album to be released in the U.S. during 2000,
Venom is a boiling cauldron of rage, a monolithic slab of roaring guitars and primal-scream catharsis. There's barely a hook to be found on the record, which may make it inaccessible to many listeners, but
Breach create listening interest through the intricate layering of their arrangements and the sense of purpose and control underlying the thunderous wall of noise. Fans of alternative metal and progressive hardcore/metal hybrids would do well to check this one out. ~ Steve Huey
