2012 marks schlager singer
Ute Freudenberg's 40th stage anniversary, following the success of her 2011 number one hit single "Auf den Dächern von Berlin" and her duet album with
Christian Lais, Ungeteilt. Two months after the release of her biography, Jugendliebe,
Freudenberg presents her new regular studio album,
Willkommen im Leben, and together with producer David Brandes, she tackles several topics which are unusual for the schlager genre: "Verblasste Bilder" is about Alzheimer's disease, "Julia" discusses not being able to have children, and the title track tells the story of an alcoholic who manages to overcome her disease. ~ Christian Genzel
