Autistic Youth

Autistic Youth

US 2000/10s punk rock, became 'Public Eye'

Autistic Youth are an American punk band from Portland, Oregon. The group was formed in 2003 by guitarists Alex Tryon and Adam Becker, along with bassist Nick Vicario and drummer Seve Sheldon. Influenced by classic '80s west coast punk like the Adolescents and the Wipers, Autistic Youth released their debut LP, Landmine Beach, in 2006 on local indie Jonny Cat Records. The band quickly found European distribution via Germany's Sabotage Records and spent the next several years touring both stateside and in Europe. A single and an EP followed and in 2010 they signed with esteemed Northwestern punk label Dirtnap Records, who released their second LP Idle Minds. The band continued to tour internationally, eventually releasing their third album Nonage in 2013. ~ Timothy Monger
