Darey is a multiple award-winning and Multi-Platinum selling urban R&B singer, musician, songwriter, music producer, showstopper extraordinaire and entrepreneur. Darey is also the son of the legendary African Jazz Musician and entertainer Art Alade.
For almost 20 years, the multi-talented act, born Dare (pronounced Da-rey ) Art Alade has been a disc jockey, TV presenter, Master of Ceremonies, entertainment consultant, voice over artist, performing/recording artist, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Darey's team at Livespot Productions produced Nigeria’s biggest and best Love-themed concerts in 2013 and 2014 (according to rave reviews) titled Love Like A Movie 1 & 2 respectively, which have had special red carpet appearances and amazing performances from stars like Kim Kardashian and Grammy award winner Kelly Rowland who both co-hosted the red carpet with Darey alongside some of Africa’s biggest names in entertainment. The riveting showpiece has seen unique performances of some of Darey’s hits such as Asiko ft. South African pop group Jozi & IcePrince, Special Fever, Not the Girl, Carry Dey Go ft. 2face, Sisi Eko ft. Flavour amongst several other chart topping tunes. His albums “From Me 2 U,” “unDAREYted,” and “Double Dare” (which was a double album), have all grown Darey’s fan base over the years. His most current upcoming album is titled “Naked” and features appearances by five-time Grammy award nominated, two-time Grammy award winning and one Emmy award winning Soweto Gospel Choir. This epic album also features the remarkably talented Asa, & Olamide.
Whether performing alongside some of the world’s finest superstars such as Beyoncé, Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, John Legend, Lionel Richie, Sean Paul, Rihanna, Usher, Akon and Shakira; or hosting events attended by World leaders and top dignitaries, such as past U.S Presidents George W.
