Edward Byrnes & Connie Stevens

b. USA. A contemporary Christian songwriter who holds a Master Of Divinity degree, Jon Byron graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, in 1975. His masters was then completed at the Fuller Seminary in Pasadena. He had sung and played guitar from an early age, growing up in a family where music was considered as important as religious indoctrination. While a sophomore student at Westmont he began writing his first songs, adopting a folk rock-styled approach to gospel. By the time he had completed his studies at Fuller, Byron had become a regular concert attraction on campus and in local clubs.
