Jupiter

Jupiter

French house duo, Quarles Baseden & Amélie de Bosredon

An English boy born in France, a French girl born in England, a chance encounter on a London dancefloor emptied by a slightly too retro hit that led to a great music adventure tinged with glitter and carefreeness. Oscillating between elegant songwriting and dancefloor hedonism, the band will forge itself a unique place in the nu-disco scene. Their discography spans 7 years, 2 albums and a handful of singles that will make the heyday of the much loved Kitsuné or Hed Kandi compilation series, with in particular the impeccable single 'Saké' or the cover of their founding anthem 'Mama Used to Say '. At the time of Myspace, audio-blogs (Discobelle, Fluokids, Stereogum ...), Hypemachine or Soundcloud, some chapters of Jupiter’s story were written outside of the official distribution channels. ’Hey There’ now completes the band’s official discography with a few hard to find gems, well-felt covers and even some unreleased material that sail between eras and remind us of their light-hearted writing and producing skills.
