Maggie Lindemann

Los Angeles-based singer Maggie Lindemann is known for her dusky, '90s alt rock and electronica-influenced pop. She broke through with her 2016 single "Pretty Girl," which went platinum and hit the Top Ten in the U.K., Ireland, Sweden, and Norway. She released her debut EP, Paranoia, in 2021.
Born in Dallas, Texas in 1998, Lindemann first came to the public's attention via videos posted online, and her active presence on various social networks. In 2015 she released two singles, "Knocking on Your Heart" and "Couple of Kids," the first of which had particularly strong placement on digital charts. In 2016 she delivered her third single, "Things," which also garnered attention, landing in the Top 25 on digital charts and racking up over 300,000 views on YouTube. She followed with "Pretty Girl," which became her highest-charting single to date. In 2017, she collaborated on the Vamps' "Personal" and issued another solo single, "Obsessed," before year's end. A year later, Lindemann returned with the song "Human." Around the same time, she launched her own SWIXXZ clothing line and paired with drummer Travis Barker on the song "Friends Go." It was also in 2019 that she spent five days under house arrest in Malaysia due to confusion over her visa status. The situation was ultimately resolved and Lindemann returned to the United States where, in September 2020, she released the yearning, rock-inflected tracks "Knife Under My Pillow" and "Loner," both of which appeared on her 2021 EP Paranoia. ~ Matt Collar
