Rozalén

Rozalén

Hailing from Albacete, Spanish singer/songwriter María Rozalén began to write her own songs in her early teens. By the time she turned 16 she was already performing in small local venues. In 2012 she placed second in the songwriting contest Abril Para Vivir and some of her songs started to circulate widely on the Internet, eventually paving the way for her successful debut, Con Derecho A.... Released in early 2013, the album showcased her skill at blending flamenco, pop, copla, folk, and Middle Eastern music with personal, sensitive lyrics. In 2015 Rozalén contributed two songs to the hit film Perdiendo el Norte, and also released her sophomore effort, Quién Me Ha Visto.... She returned with Cuando el Río Suena... two years later. ~ Mariano Prunes
