A New York-based electronic music duo,
TWRK comprise a pair of producers known as BenZi and eSenTRIK. The DJs met on the Internet, exchanging song ideas with each other that would eventually kick-start their collaborative project. Starting in 2013, they had one goal in mind: to make listeners move. Influenced by the sounds of
N.E.R.D.,
Skrillex, and New Orleans bounce,
TWRK released their debut single, "BaDinga," in 2015. Featuring a sample of
K7's "Come Baby Come," the track captured the aggressive bounce energy that would become their trademark. A series of singles followed, including "Trifecta" with
DJ Sliink and Green Lantern and "Do What It Do" with
OG Maco, a spiritual successor to
Mystikal's "Shake Ya Ass." Signed with
Diplo's Mad Decent, the pair released their debut EP in 2015. We Are TWRK was a four-song collection of more booming-bass dancefloor fillers. In addition, they released a steady stream of party mixes, the Volume Mix Series. In 2016,
TWRK issued the single "Hands on It," featuring
