Zion's Joy are a large contemporary gospel group based in Indianapolis, Indiana. A mix of ten male and female vocalists, the group was formed in 2008 by baritone Robert W. Stevenson to sing backup on their friend (and soon to be bandmember)
Richard O. Jackson's debut album. The group decided to continue on under the name
Zion's Joy, bringing their rich blend of harmonies and powerful lead vocals to venues across the Midwest. In 2012 they released their own debut album, Knocking on Your Heart, a 12-song collection of soulful, R&B-flavored modern gospel. In addition to bandleader Stevenson, the group also features sopranos Beth Sinclair, Madison DaBreo and Lyn MacDonald-Sigman, altos Kimberly Kent and Sharon Rimmer, tenors Rickey Smiley, Dan Sinclair and
Richard O. Jackson, and additional baritone Freddie Bolden. ~ Tim Monger
