When the blending of genres becomes so original that it is named after its author, you know things are serious. And in a way Lo’Jo performs some...well... Lo’Jo! A good thing for this band from Angers, founded in 1982 by Denis Péan and Richard Bourreau. Their signature style is so strong that it even allows prestigious collaborations with the likes of Tinariwen, Robert Wyatt, Robert Plant, and even Archie Shepp. Fonetiq Flowers, an album recorded in all corners of the world, once again features this poetry without borders, sculpted with electro-acoustic sounds. After 35 years of existence, their delicious blend of world, pop, French music and much more is still a delight. © CM/Qobuz
