Feel-good hard rockers
7th Heaven have built a following over almost three decades thanks to their energetic live shows and pavement-pounding work ethic. Guitarist/singer/keyboardist Richard Hofherr, singer Tony DiGiulio, and drummer Mike Mooshey formed the band in Chicago in 1985; with many lineup changes in the intervening years, the most notable addition to the band was singer/guitarist
Keith Semple in 2008, who in 2002 won Pop Stars, the British version of American Idol. In addition to their rigorous touring schedule averaging 250 shows per year and performing alongside acts like
Bon Jovi and
Kid Rock,
7th Heaven have had their music featured in commercials (Chicago Cubs, Empress Casino) and film (Light Years Away, Lizzy); been profiled in magazines (Guitar Edge, PowerPlay); and appeared on television (Discovery Channel’s Homeward Bound, MTV’s Making the Video). This hard work helped the band reach its greatest heights in 2011 with the release of
Pop Media and its single "Sing," which hit the Billboard Heatseekers charts that summer. ~ Chrysta Cherrie
