Courus moved from the small town Uitenhage, to the big city Johannesburg in June 2018 with dreams of taking her craft and artistry to the next level.
She sings various styles of music and is passionate about Jazz and Neo soul. Courus’ sound is a fusion of genres from Neo soul to Hip Hop to Contemporary Jazz to Soul and RnB.
Highlights of her career to date are opening for artists like Vusi Nova, Zahara, the late Thami Shobede and the release of her debut EP, “I'm Up.”
Her goal for 2020 is to get her music aired and to get her message out into the world. She believes that her sound is different. It is healing, relatable and makes a great contribution to the music industry.
Courus strives to create and bring back or re-erect timeless music whilst fusing it with relevance sonically.
